Our quality standard

As one of the pioneers of industrial radiation measurement technology, we stand for values. Our claim is that our customers and, above all, the users can rely 100% on the reliability of our products in use. From this, a demanding, consistent understanding of quality is derived for all areas of our company. GRAETZ Strahlungsmeßtechnik GmbH has set itself the goal of meeting the highest quality standards.

Quality is made by people in our company – handmade at the Altena site. This requires knowledgeable and conscientious employees who have internalized the company’s vision and values and live them every day. For us, quality is a living process that is constantly being critically scrutinized and optimized.

Our quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. We do not only have the effectiveness of the QM system checked by certified bodies. Internal audits, which go beyond the prescribed level, also ensure regular monitoring and a continuous improvement process.

Furthermore, we have established a quality assurance system aligned with NATO Quality Management Plan Requirements (AQAP-2105:2019) and NATO Quality Assurance Requirements for Development, Design and Production (AQAP-2110:2016).

Our metrological quality standard has been certified by various type tests of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) for Radiation measurement devices, which are thus suitable for custody transfer measurements according to the German Measurement and Calibration Act (MessEG).

We have an officially approved calibration facility for Radiation measurement devices at the site, which is equipped with several radiation sources ^{137Cs of}different activity. The standards used in the measurements are traced back to the national standards at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt.

In all activities in our company, the radiation protection of our customers as well as our employees has top priority.

As a supplier of dual-use goods, we are subject to stricter legal export regulations with export controls to prevent proliferation. We thus bear responsibility with regard to the avoidance of abusive uses of nuclear energy and pursue the goal of peaceful coexistence among the individual peoples of our earth.

By authorization of the main customs office Dortmund GRAETZ Strahlungsmeßtechnik GmbH is also an authorized exporter. Customers from all over the world appreciate the resulting preferential tariff rate. Our quality products “Made in Germany” – in most cases available from stock – and fast export processing give us a considerable advantage in global competition and result in a relatively large international customer base.
